12 trending products of 2022 according to Google Trends

We analyzed the interest of Ukrainian buyers in various products through Google Trends and collected 12 items that are likely to be in demand in 2022.

Rugs for bedrooms, living rooms and baths

Average price: 230 UAH.

Rugs are an off-season product, demand stays at about the same level throughout the year:

Bedding: duvets, sheets, pillows, bedspreads, mattresses, sets

Average price: UAH 1.5–2 thousand for a family set.

It would seem that the demand for bed textiles should not depend on the season. But in 2021, this product was most often searched for in October:

Pull-out sofas, futons, couches

Average price: 9.8 thousand UAH.

The interest of Ukrainians in folding sofas remains consistently high almost all year round:

Protein bars, green powder, detox drinks

Ukrainians most often search for these products on the request "keto diet" – a diet that consists of a large amount of fats and proteins. As for the protein bars themselves, after the boom in search queries in July 2019, the demand for this product remains quite high now:

Refillable sports bottles and smart bottles

Average price: 230 UAH.

The most frequent search query for this product category is “sports bottle”. In 2021, demand rose noticeably in the summer and before the New Year holidays:

Polyester and nylon mesh shoes

Average price: 2 thousand UAH.

Mesh sneakers are shoes for the warm season, so this product is mainly searched for in spring, summer and autumn. From October to March, demand falls, slightly increasing before the New Year holidays:

Fitness trackers and smartwatches

Average price: from 350 to 70 thousand UAH, depending on the functions and brand.

Interest in smartwatches is declining, but will continue for at least a few more years:

Wireless chargers and charging stations for multiple gadgets

Average price: UAH 1.3 thousand for wireless charging, UAH 2 thousand for a charging station.

Google Trends shows an annual increase in demand for these products in November and December – probably due to the New Year holidays and Black Friday discounts:

Cases for smartphones and tablets made of silicone or plastic

Average price: 250 UAH.

The smartphone market is constantly growing: both worldwide and in Ukraine. This means that the demand for accessories is also increasing.

Most often, users look for cases during the holidays:

Baby video monitors, baby monitors, baby monitors

Average price: 1 thousand UAH.

Video monitors have been popular for a long time and steadily. It can be assumed that the demand for them will continue in 2022.

A video baby monitor is more often sought in the warm season – when many family members are away from home:

Lapomoyka for bathing pets

Average price: 570 UAH.

The maximum number of searches on Google Trends for this product occurs in autumn and winter: due to slush and rain, owners wash their dogs more thoroughly.
